Therapy at your convenience and in a comfortable space.

Imagine having a therapy session in your favorite chair at home, at your workplace, or any other place where you have a secure Internet connection.

Or maybe you prefer therapy face-to-face, but the weather is simply frightful on the day of your scheduled appointment.

You might be feeling too sick to leave the house but well enough to want to keep your therapy appointment.

Telehealth is an excellent alternative.

Telehealth allows for therapy sessions to be accessible from anywhere you have a smart phone, tablet, or computer and a secure Internet connection.

Telehealth allows me to provide therapy to anyone who lives in New Jersey.

Research indicates that telehealth is as effective as in-person therapy, and my patients have been very satisfied with the results they’ve achieved.

How does it work?

I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant videoconference platform to insure your privacy.

You join your therapy session by entering an Internet address that I provide you. There is nothing you need to download, and no apps or programs to install on your device.

You may have a similar set-up with your primary medical provider or other healthcare professional.

If you choose to do so, you can enter credit or debit card information for payment on the same platform.

Is telehealth suitable for everybody?

Generally, yes.

Exceptions are when there is not a safe, quiet, private space available for you; when distractions or interruptions are likely to happen; or in cases where the seriousness of a person’s issues requires in-person sessions.

Here are some other considerations.

As with any website that uses secure encryption, the possibility that the site can be hacked exists. In addition, using cellular service or Wi-Fi service may not offer complete security.

If you have questions about your system’s security, I suggest that you consult your cellular service provider, and/or your Internet service provider, or a trusted IT professional.

Although the minimum required specifications for Internet service are low, there is the possibility that technical glitches can occur, such as the connection can be lost, video can freeze, etc.

If you are using health insurance to pay for all or part of clinical services, please check with your insurance company to make sure they will reimburse for telehealth.

Don’t let day-to-day inconveniences keep you from therapy.
