Michael Chenkin is a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field as a clinician, supervisor, trainer, and administrator.  Michael has a private practice in Somerville, NJ specializing in the use of evidence-based practices in the treatment of persons affected by substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.  He is an adjunct professor at Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work, a faculty member at Rutgers University’s Center of Alcohol and Drug Studies, and has provided training in substance abuse and related issues for the past 15 years at venues in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.  Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rutgers University and Master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.  He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
